Guizhou Vocational Technology Institute

Guizhou Vocational Technology Institute is an independent comprehensive public full-time higher vocational college established by the People's Government of Guizhou Province and approved by the Ministry of Education, is the only one provincial comprehensive higher vocational technology institute.

Guizhou Vocational Technology Institute began to hold the higher vocational education ever since its establishment in1986, which has opened science, engineering, agriculture, economics and business management, foreign language, art and teacher training, etc, about 32 majors, and has trained a total of more than 18000 high-skilled talents. Through years of exploration and practice, the college has accumulated rich experience in the cultivation of high-skilled talents, has a complete talent training mode, efficient operation mechanism with high quality and complete teaching, scientific research, management and quality assurance system.

Guizhou Vocational Technology Institute is located in Guiyang, Guizhou of China, where it is in the Eastern part of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau in southwest, the capital of Guizhou province, is the political, economic and cultural center of the province. Guiyang belongs to the subtropical moist mild climate, which means it has no severe heat or cold and has plenty of sunshine and rains. Guiyang is located in mountainous region, surrounded by mountains, is known as the "Summer Resort in China". At the same time, it is also a multi-ethnic city predominantly with Han, and a city with Miao, Buyi, Dong, Hui and other ethnic groups living together. It has rich old folklore customs and brilliant national culture since ancient times.

Guizhou Vocational Technology Institute is located at No.3 Yun Tan Nan Lu, Guanshanhu District of Guiyang city, covering an area of 485 mu and construction area of nearly 200,000 square meters with beautiful environment and complete facilities, is a new ecological green campus. Equipped with excellent teaching conditions and strong faculty team, the college consists of seven teaching departments: School of Information Engineering, School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, School of Economics and Management, School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, School of Commerce and Trade, School of Art and Design and Department for the Common Courses. The students who finish studying all courses required in training plan within a prescribed period can obtain the Graduate Certificate for Higher Vocational Education (College Degree) registered electronically by the Ministry of Education and admitted by the nation. To promote the cultivation of the students’ various professional skills, the college also set up the National Professional Skill Appraisal (No.100), with the qualification of the professional skill appraisal for computer operation, electrician, E-commerce specialist, the builder, the tour guide, secretary, and accountant. The college provides various forms of employment consultation and service and provides more employment opportunities for the graduates every year.

The International College undertakes the task on the recruitment, teaching and management of overseas students and the students from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao. The college takes efforts to strengthen the construction of software and hardware, actively expand the school-running space. Besides offering Chinese classes at various levels from the introductory to the advanced, we also provide Southeast Asian Chinese teachers training and Chinese (Chinese Culture) summer camp and winter camp all year round. The college provides separate teaching building and well-equipped apartment for international students, which creates a good environment for their study and life on campus.

All who are in good health and interested in Chinese and Chinese culture, and willing to abide by Chinese law and regulations of Guizhou Vocational Technology Institute are welcome to apply for studying in our college. The applicants who apply for Chinese Language Study Program should be in the bracket of 16 years old to 60. Those who are about to apply for Degree Program should be at least a senior high school graduate. For those who don’t have HSK test scores can study Chinese first in our college and then take part in the HSK test.
